Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGDThe “Selected Readings in Computer Graphics” consist of about 40 articles selected from all scientific publications of a year.
They were contributed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD with offices in Darmstadt, Kiel and Rostock, and the partner institutes at the respective universities, the Interactive Graphics Systems Group of Technische Universität Darmstadt, the Computergraphics and Communication Group of the Institute of Computer Science at Rostock University, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Visual Computing Cluster of Excellence of Graz University of Technology, that cooperate closely within projects and research and development in the field of Computer Graphics.
All articles previously appeared in various scientific books, journals, conferences and workshops, and are reprinted with permission of the respective copyright holders. The publications had to undergo a thorough review process by internationally leading experts and established technical societies. Therefore, the Selected Readings should give a fairly good and detailed overview of the scientific developments in Computer Graphics in the year 2017. They are put together by Professor Dieter W. Fellner, the director of Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD in Darmstadt, at the same time professor at the Department of Computer Science at Technische Universität Darmstadt, and professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at Graz University of Technology.
