Next Reality – Virtual Rescue Training in a 5D Simulator
In a 5D training scenario, the integration of innovative virtual reality (VR) technologies with targeted stress management in training cognitive and motor skills under stress situations is demonstrated—without putting participants at risk. Using the example of a helicopter water landing under difficult conditions, this highlights the awareness and training in a real simulator. The VR application, combined with immersive environmental influences and sensory stimuli, prepares offshore personnel for managing emergency situations in a safe environment. This form of immersive training contributes to improving safety and operational skills in a stress-intensive training environment, making the effects monitorable, measurable, and assessable.
Machine@Hand – VR Authoring Tool and Immersive Training for Vocational Education and Training
Machine@Hand is an intuitive 3D/VR authoring tool and a collaborative training environment. It allows complex, challenging, and hazardous technical tasks to be explained and trained on a virtual twin in a protected VR environment. With just a few simple actions and without needing programming knowledge, complex technical systems can be visualized in the authoring tool and used for authentic learning of specialized knowledge and flexible training of working methods. Visitors at the booth can immerse themselves in a training world using a VR headset or try out how effortlessly training scenarios can be created or modified in the editor.
