Milan Bergheim

Product manager for peatlands: Milan Bergheim is a strategic product designer specializing in technology and service innovation. At IGD, Milan is responsible for product development in the peatlands sector. He is expanding the network in industry and research and maintains close contact with stakeholders to promote user-centered design.

Before joining Fraunhofer IGD, he worked in the Innovation departments of Brose and Barmer and as a freelance product designer. He also worked for his own start-up in peatland monitoring.

Milan has a BA in Industrial Design from HTW Berlin University of Applied Sciences and an MA in Product Design from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin.

In addition to exhibitions at the Dutch Design Week (2018, 2019), the German Design Graduates (2022) and the Mart Stam Foundation (2023), he has presented his work to a broad audience as part of the German Ecodesign Award traveling exhibition (2019, 2022). Milan Bergheim has received the German Ecodesign Award (2022), the UX Design Award (2022), and the Green Concept Award (2023), among others.
