Fraunhofer IGD celebrates a double anniversary. Under the motto „visual – virtual – digital: research, development, economy – (inter)national“, we can look back on 25 years of computer graphics for the economy. Moreover, the location Rostock will be 20 years.
Our institute is the world's leading institute for applied research in Visual Computing. Visual Computing is image- and model-based information technology and includes computer graphics, computer vision, as well as virtual and augmented reality.
We develop prototypes and complete solutions based on customer-specific requirements. Our research and development projects are directly applicable to current problems in the economy.
